Learn More About Bees from Local Beekeepers!

BUMBA meetings feature dozens of beekeepers comparing notes and offering advice, and early each Spring we offer a low-cost "short course" that teaches beekeeping basics (Sorry, we are full up this year!). Our field days allow students to work with vibrant colonies of bees!

The best way to learn how to keep bees is to stand next to an experienced beekeeper who wants you to succeed. We have taught beekeepers from cities, suburbs and rural areas how to make these fascinating creatures a part of their lives. Join us now and reserve your place in our 2013 class today! [more]

We Love To Talk About Honeybees

BUMBA Beekeepers participate in numerous public demonstrations and events throughout the year. This photo shows member Nikki Thompson explaining the goings on inside an observation hive at the Summer 2009 Maryland Day at the University of Maryland/College Park.

If you are interested in including beekeeping information at your school, club, church, event, or other gathering, please take a look at what we have to offer and how we participate in our communities. [more]
