BUMBA Programs
Over the past several years, BUMBA has developed a queen rearing and nuc production program for the continuing support of our members.
Nucs are "nuclear colonies," 3-5 frames of bees and brood which beekeepers can use to begin a strong, healthy colony. Local nucs, combined with local queens, are the building blocks of creating a sustainable beekeeping program for our region. Read more
BUMBA Members produce some of the finest products from the hive in the state. Bottled honey, chunk honey, beauty aids, candles, soap and pollen are a few of the high quality, all natural products we produce. Read more
BUMBA currently holds 11 beekeeping educational programs throughout Prince Georges County. If you would like to learn more about beekeeping and the environment in general, you are welcome to attend any of these educational seminars free of charge. If you would like to be considered for a beekeeping educational event at your location, please get in touch any club officer and we will try to accommodate you.

Every Spring for the past 25 years, BUMBA has offered a low-cost, all-volunteer Beekeeping Short Course to help you get started with this wonderful hobby. Space is limited, and you become a club member with your course registration. Read more
